Questions

Is this the DG Shipping examination?

MyShipDesk Exams is practice material. The oral examination itself is held by the Mercantile Marine Department, and we have no link to DG Shipping or the MMD.

Where do the answers come from?

From the official conventions, codes and Acts. Every key point names its source and page. A few cards drawn from candidate notes carry a label until a reviewing master has checked them.

How does the AI examiner work?

He speaks with a voice generated by AI and says so at the start of every call. He asks questions from the sections you pick, listens to your answer and asks a follow-up when it is half right. After the call, each answer is marked against its key points.

What happens to my voice and camera?

Your call goes to our voice provider so the examiner can hear and answer you, and we keep the transcript to mark your answers and show your report. Your camera picture stays on your device and is never sent or recorded.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Use headphones for mock oral examinations, so the examiner does not hear his own voice through your speaker.
